Liked the location and the scenery. The fact that we stayed at Ko Yao Yai in "low" monsoon season in August gave both benefits and disadvantages. The key benefit was very few people around us during all the stay. Most of the villas were free, so we got a great discount at Booking. The disadvantage was the huge tides twice a day that brought quite a lot of plastic rubbish. But the territory of the hotel is so huge that you can find a place to swim in the blue sea without rubbish (take the seaside location on the right to the reception, there is a magnificent lagoon separated from the main beach with high impressive rocks, and it's so cool to swim there, almost without any intervention from the people around). Our villa was quite big, with an "open roof" huge shower. A magnificent view to look at (skies , flying bats, singing night creatures 😁) when you take a warm shower at night! Really enjoyed it. Cleaning was regular and profound, the cleaning stuff and the girls at the reception desk were all so kind, smiling and helpful ☺️ The fact that they charged us for the room at the check-out, not at the check-in, without checking if we have spoiled any equipment, speaks for itself. Amazing people and stunning location! I especially liked the breakfasts: they were varied, with fresh fruit of different kinds and a variety of fresh greenery and veggies. All the breakfasts that we had were really tasty and enjoyable. One more "must see and experience" thing is a dinner at the Romantic Deck on the beach. It's really worth it! The view of the starry skies and singing night creatures are gorgeous and authentic. Don't forget to bring you favourite music, a bottle of wine or cocktails, and some snacks to enjoy the great night in the jungle.

This is really a paradise, far from common Phuket crowds, if you’re looking for a nice, private and quiet place, this is it. And if you’re willing to explore the island, there are many options like hotel’s excursions, or grabbing a motorbike in the many shops outside the hotel and go around (be careful when driving). The sea is subject to tides as all beaches in Thai, with high tide is a nice swimming, with low tide no way to have a bath, but great landscape to see. Due to corals b careful when entering the water for a swim. The hotel’s restaurant is nice and with awesome views, have a dinner by sunset is kind of magical. Food is good quality and serving is fast and gentle, all workers there are smiling and willing to help. Prices are good considering it’s a resort, don’t compare with outside shops where you can get cheaper prices … it’s your decision…

From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Their kindness and attentiveness made our experience unforgettable.welcome drinks were a lovely way to settle in and start our vacation. The hotel’s massage services were great. The cooking class offered by the hotel was another highlight. We had so much fun learning how to prepare local dishes, and the chef made it an engaging and enjoyable activity. Lastly, the atmosphere was just perfect—calm and serene, with a lot of attention to detail in creating a relaxing experience for guests. We couldn’t recommend Elixir Hotel more highly!

The reception staff was very kind. The location is pritty isolated, with not a lot of things to do around, but we liked it. Good breakfast and very welcoming waiters and kitchen workers. We recommend taking the thai cooking class. Two small problems we had: 1. The baby cot isn't suitable for a 6 month old baby, but for a much older toddler. We managed to improvise a bed with the sofa. 2. The bath was so large that it took more than an hour to fill it up, and we didn't want to waste so much water, so we used it only once during our stay.

Shelly

The great place for complete relaxation, if you want to take a break from the crowded Phuket, then this place is perfect. The hotel's area is well maintained by the staff. The receptionist will give you the information you need. Hotel staff is attentive. I think one of best place in Koh Yao Yai. P.S. You can watch hordes of crabs with a flashlight on the beach in the evening :~)
